Milford Asset Management’s newly fitted out space in Auckland engages biophilic lighting to create a central native oasis of calm and harmony to a thriving business.
Interior Designers Wingate Architects vision for a central Oasis to the space, capturing the essence of New Zealand’s lush rainforest full of lush planting surrounding seating pockets for visitors and staff, forms the centre piece of the fitout.
A central perforated ceiling design enables filtered light into the space, reinforcing the design intent as pools of light dapple the space.
Specialist grow lighting from Intralux provides photon specific lighting to support the planting, fired through the perforations using controlled optics and from varying angles to generate the dappled effect. Intralux’s Grow lighting is also used throughout the project where planting is used.
Electron’s Luminet, a very small format linear LED profile with controlled optics, uplights the light box above the perforated ceiling delivering the filtered light of the Oasis.
Meeting spaces surround the central Oasis, each featuring a coffered ceiling uplit with JR Lite’s Coveflex Whale Pro, a flexible encapsulated LED solution with a range of beam angle options, to generate meeting light levels.
A circulatory corridor loop wraps the centralised space, complete with planting, using downlights and track spots from Intralux’s Grow range along with their Compact Suspended Downlights.
Lastly, further Enepro Grow lighting with standard Enepro track spots, Compact pendants and E-Max S downlights provide lighting to the Library and staff areas, while a fantastic 4950mm x 1510mm oval Phorma pendant completes the space with lighting over the kitchen island.
